In cooperation with Dealey Plaza UK and The Mary Ferrell Foundation, AARC President Jim Lesar is proud to present direct access to Bart Kamp’s extraordinary Malcolm Blunt digital archives.

Malcolm Blunt is an independent investigator of the truth with an unbiased instinct for what is important and what is not in the details of President Kennedy’s assassination. He is regarded within the assassination research community as an esteemed authority on the CIA and the JFK records held at the National Archives and Records Administration in College Park, MD. He is the 1998 recipient of JFK Lancer’s New Frontier Award In appreciation for his contribution of new evidence in furthering the study of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. He currently sits on the Board of Directors of the AARC.  In November of 2020 he became of the subject of a new book featuring 10 transcribed conversations with AARC Executive Director, Alan Dale titled The Devil is in the Details.

This ongoing project was initiated by Bart Kamp of DPUK during the Spring of 2019. His Herculean efforts to identify, transport, scan, upload and catalog audio, video and paper documents, some of which have never been otherwise available online, represents a major contribution to Cold War historians and the JFK research community.

With appreciation to Malcolm Blunt, Jim Lesar of the AARC, Rex Bradford of Mary Ferrell Foundation, and Bart Kamp for indefatigable dedication necessary to produce this invaluable resource.

The Devil is in The Details is a collection of ten transcribed conversations, recorded 2014 – 2019, between Assassination Archives and Research Center’s executive director, Alan Dale, and the esteemed British intelligence analyst, Malcolm Blunt. These unscripted conversations elevate the discussion of key assassination investigation areas well beyond the well-worn paths familiar to those who choose to study President Kennedy’s life, his career in public service, the Cold War context of his presidency, the true circumstances and meaning of his death, and the alleged facts associated with the U.S. government’s investigations into his assassination. Malcolm Blunt is regarded within the assassination research community as an invaluable resource on the CIA’s internal systems and management authorities as they existed during the 1950s and ’60s; he has invested more time and greater focus than perhaps any other individual on the JFK records held at the National Archives and Records Administration in College Park, MD.

“Malcolm Blunt’s brilliant work in the deep caves of the National Archives has opened up new perspectives on the Kennedy case for other researchers. Alan Dale’s deft questioning of him in this book will help others to emulate his achievements.”

“The IDN system was a parallel system of files to the 201 files. IDN files were ‘individuals connected to targeted organizations.’ In other words, if you had a targeted organization, something like the Fair Play for Cuba Committee, these were individuals that were connected to that organization. That whole filing system got junked when the Warren Commission was sitting. It’s never been done before, and it’s never been done again; a whole filing system just completely dismantled inside the Records Integration Division… One name jumps out: Lee Harvey Oswald.”
