Last week JFKFacts issued a translation of a Russian document authored
by Soviet intelligence agent G. Bolshakov reporting on the visit to
Moscow by JFK close friend Bill Walton in early December 1963. The
document said that Walton stated that the assassination was undoubtedly
the result of a large political conspiracy. This document was part of a
382 page submission to Rep. Luna delivered by the Russian ambassador to
the US last October. The story of Walton’s visit to Moscow had been
previously told, and the Bolshakov report adds detail to the story.
Bolshakov had struck up a friendship with the Kennedy family and served
as a back channel between them and the Soviet leadership.
The significance of Walton’s statement is that it supports
investigation of the assassination as a large political conspiracy in
the US rather than a limited action by a few rogue actors.
